Color Profile Guide

sRGB

Use for: Web, social media, digital screens, most monitors

Color gamut: ~35% of visible colors. Standard for the internet.

Always use sRGB when saving images for web use to ensure consistent colors across devices.

Adobe RGB (1998)

Use for: Professional photography, print, wide-gamut displays

Color gamut: ~50% of visible colors. Wider green-cyan range than sRGB.

Convert to sRGB before uploading to web — Adobe RGB images look washed out on standard displays.

Display P3

Use for: Modern Apple devices, wide-gamut displays

Color gamut: ~45% of visible colors. Used by iPhone cameras and newer Macs.

CMYK

Use for: Print design (offset, digital print)

Color model: Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Key (Black). Subtractive model.

Colors can look different when printed vs. screen. Always request a proof before large print runs.
